Cyndi was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents taught
English at the local high school and held education, for the sake of
learning and living a full life, as the highest priority in their
family's life. She graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan's College of Engineering in 1991. Cyndi was
hired directly out of school into Ford Motor Company where she worked as
a mechanical engineer for 13 years.
In 1995, Cyndi
began her painting journey. She had lost her brother David that year to
cancer. The act of painting gave her a great deal of comfort during
those tough times and she has studied art and practiced painting on her
own ever since.
Cyndi's work has been exhibited in local juried shows, in two one-person shows and in many different galleries across Michigan and the United States. Her work is held in private collections in the US, Europe and China.
Cyndi lives in Michigan with her husband Nick, their two teenage children and their border terrier, Jesse. She paints full time and is currently exploring the art and design of the geometric abstract in gouache.
