My art education has been self-directed studying with some of the
best in the medium of colored pencil and pastel. From 2009 to 2011 I studied
under Deborah Bays master pastelist in atmospheric realism. Deb has instilled
in me a love of dramatic lighting and working with edges to create depth and
atmosphere.
Last December I picked up a brush and my oil paints and began
daily painting. I think I am in love with the whole process.
I currently
volunteer my time on the governing board of Lakewood Arts Council in Lakewood,
Colorado, and President of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
My
friend and fellow artist, June Davis, and I paint together at our studio, Golden
Point One Fine Art Studio, in Golden, Colorado.
I share my life with my
husband, Mark, two grown sons, and four grandchildren.
