Dalan Wells

Dalan Wells is an internationally collected and award winning artist from the windward side of Oahu Hawaii.  A true "Daily Painter At Heart". Subjects include "Anything that will sit still long enough to be painted".  Depending on the day this can lead to, portraits, plein air landscapes and seascapes to studio still lifes.  Classically trained in New York, London, and Hawaii.  Paintings are varied in style from impressionistic palette knife work to very detailed contemporary realism.  "Becoming a Daily Painter (when I started and finished a 6x6 or 6x8 almost everyday) was when it finally all "clicked" for me as an artist.  I fell so in love with colors and compostions I just knew that this was what I had to do with the rest of my life."                                                                                                                                                      --May  Update-- 
Very busy month packing for the move to New Orleans which may lead to a slowdown in posting of new paintings.  So looking ahead I will be wanting to get in touch with any New Orleans Artists, or art organizations to start networking for the next few years of my life.  Last half of may and first half of June I will be in Santa Rosa California doing new plein air paintings everyday.  Then I have been juried into the first ever Finger Lakes Plein Air Competition in Rochester NY from the 6th of June to the 11th.   Aloha Dalan
