My hope is to become evermore skilled and masterful as an oil painter. My dream is to create artworks that steal the breath and silence the mind. To this end, I try to paint daily. Of late, smaller pieces done alla prima have been my greatest allies against the paralyzing sting of perfectionism which seems to creep in and sabatoge my efforts if I paint too big or take too long. At this point in my life, I cannot afford joyless and so, for now, I am keeping it simple and keeping it small.
I currently live in Sag Harbor, NY with my husband, our two grown daughters and two dogs.
