I am a software engineer in the Seattle/Bellevue area. I got my Computer Science degree at National University of La Plata, Argentina. I moved to the US in 2005 and have been working and living in Washington State since then.
I have a passion for drawing, and art in general, specially landscape painting. I used to spend a lot of time playing the piano, always hoping to go back to that some day. I am in love with the mountains, the ocean and all the scenic views Washington has to offer.
My story with pastels starts back in my childhood. My mom used them (not much) but they were available to me in our house. Back then, I worked on a couple pieces but never spent much time on it.
Some time in 2009 I bought a landscape set of pastels and started doing some sketches and paintings.
Since that time, I have consistently painted as frequently as time allows. I have attended many workshops. Marla Baggetta, Janet Hamilton, Barbara VanDyke-Shumman have influenced me with their work and provided so many good guidelines and details I was able to see results in my paintings immediately!
I have also taken classes at the Bellevue College in Washington state and learnt color theory using acrylics and oils.
However, I always go back to pastels, because of their vibrant color and versatility.
Hope you find my work interesting!
