Artist Statement: |
I favor alla-prima painting because it sparks my emotional response better than a structure of time-related layers. Sketching daily, as well as plein air painting, facilitates ideas and serves as an important tool in advancement in my art studies. The richness of oils in particular enhances this field of study all the more. The challenge in the pursuit of art persuades me to continue to the finish as I learn and experiment with the what-ifs.
