A native of Georgia, I sat for my own portrait at age 9 and has been interested in the world of art ever since. My husband and I were on the "Great Lakes Circle tour" early on, where I studied figurative art prior to moving to New England in 1993 with our two sons. Currently I study with Laurel Stern Boeck in New York, and maintain a studio in Connecticut. Primarily a portrait artist, I'm interested in the effects of light and color in the landscapes, still life and on the figure. A member of the Portrait Society of America, the CT Society of Portrait Artists, the Society of Creative Arts Newtown, and the CT Plein Air Painters Society, head of Pomperaug Outdoor Painters.
