Julie Davis is a native of West Texas, with a background in law and journalism. A plein air painter, Julie draws great inspiration from the Texas landscape in and around Austin and the surrounding Hill Country, seeking to blend her response to a place with its essential qualities. She values painting as a daily exercise, and creates a new painting most days. Julie is a juried member of the Daily Painter Originals group and holds membership in Oil Painters of America, the Outdoor Painter's Society, the American Impressionist's Society, and Plein Air Austin. Her work is available through the Davis Gallery in Austin, the Windrush Gallery in Sedona, Arizona, and small works are occasionally available through her blog. Julie lives in Austin with her husband, Ben, and their three daughters.
