I have drawn and painted as long as I can remember, though there have been periods when I haven't done anything creative at all.
I am now taking painting more serious and am trying to paint daily. My favorite subject to paint is Water Lilies. What drew my attention from the beginning was the similarities between the classic computer game "Pac-Man" and the water Lily leaves. I got fascinated by the leaves form and colors. For me those are more interesting than the flowers.
My intention isn't to paint classic realistic Water Lilies paintings, but to have fun with color and shapes. Exploring new ways to do it.
I'm not a realistic painter. I draw inspiration from many different styles and artists. Among others Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Cornelius McCarthy, and I get inspiration every day from other painters on Daily Paintworks.
