I am so happy to be able to paint full time, after thirty years of painting and exhibiting while raising two children and working various part time jobs. I
studied drawing and painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine
Arts, and completed a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007.
I live with my daughter Julia and my son Will in Perkasie, a small town about 35 miles north of Philadelphia.
For many years my habit was to spend two or even three months on one
painting, trying to create an image without flaws. I've begun to
realize that painting is not about the absence of flaws- painting is
about being fully awake, and fully aware of a larger world outside
yourself. At best it is an act of spiritual renewal.
