Sarah Wimperis studied Fine Art at Falmouth Art College in the late 70’s.  She has travelled widely, taught art in Norway for 6 years and ran her own mural company in Cornwall while her five children were small.  She now lives in France where she works as an artist and illustrator and runs very relaxing painting holidays from her Brittany home and studio.

“In most of my paintings I am interested in the effects of light, when broken by branches or pouring in through an open window or doorway, creating unexpected shapes and colours. I try to capture the feelings and emotions that a place or moment in time evokes.  I work from annotated sketches, small watercolours and photographs.”
