If you have any ideas for future challenges, please let Carol know. (firstname.lastname@example.org) Thanks!
All of us have seen this astonishing and dramatic light on the landscape shortly before or instantly after a big thunderstorm. We are used to seeing the sky (and reflecting water) as the brightest parts in landscapes. These special and mostly very short moments reverse the values: the landscape is glowing in bright and strong colors and the sky is dark blue and grey. How exciting for us, the painters!
Feel free to use my photo as your reference, taken in winter at the river Weser, in the flat north of Germany. Or maybe you have similar pictures or memories of these moments in other seasons and can paint your own home landscape?
Please be sure to follow the spirit and the letter of the challenge.
For example, each submission must be painted after the challenge is posted.
