Painting Movie Stars Portraits with Limited Palette
In this challenge we will try to paint a portrait in blue and purple. Here is a picture of Greta Garbo that you can use as a reference for your portrait or you can use your own photo. Make a palette of Manganeese Blue adding Titanium White to it in different proportions for values; try to make at least 5 values. For a half-tone add a little bit of purple to it, and for the darkest darks use Ultramarine Blue and some purple to tie the whole portrait together.
You can see my students portraits’ for this challenge on my blog: www.tamarageddes.blogspot.com
