This week's challenge is a negative space challenge, or "sky holes." You can paint the tree I have photographed, use a tree from the morguefile or paint your own tree. Be sure that you leave the openings between the branches so that the sky shows through your tree. You can enhance the way the sky holes look by brightening the sky value just a little. You don't have to paint every "sky hole," sometimes just painting the bigger shapes of the sky says everything! Painting these correctly in a landscape is not only fun, but provides the viewer with a feeling of openness. Have fun!
Please be sure to follow the spirit and the letter of the challenge.
For example, each submission must be painted after the challenge is posted.
