Whether it's the velvety softness of a short haired cat, the slick reflective surface of polished metal or the coarse roughness of tree bark, one of the joys and challenges of painting is to render texture on a two dimensional surface. This week I invite you to create a painting based primarily on texture. Please feel free to use my image or choose your own textured subject. The possibilities are endless! The key is to make texture the focus of your painting and if you'd like, share how you created the texture.
Please be sure to follow the spirit and the letter of the challenge.
For example, each submission must be painted after the challenge is posted.
