I had paint this scene as part of the Chelsea Marathon of painting and drawings that I am currently working on.
Every time I passed through Westfield Park from Lots Road, I'd come up to these lovely stones and I'd say to myself, "this would make a great painting!" But I never got down to doing it!
But this was my opportunity. I just sat there wit my pochade box and plein air gear and enjoyed a scene that I love.
