Media: Oil on canvas
Size: 14x10 in
Sold
Background.
This is a piece that celebrates the beauty and elegance of the African Wrapper. It is an integral part of African Fashion. The Model is wearing a Kente Head tie, which is originates from Ghana. The wrapper is mainly used in wedding ceremonies. Sytle/Process I have painted this in oil on canvas with light washes and I ended up with thicker, juicier layers of Oil for heavy impasto areas of the wrapper. I gave it a warm abstract textured background common in African designs. To see how I went about this process visit my blog, the link is above or go to adebanjialade.blogspot.com
