I am always mixing this up -Luther's Day, All Saints Day and Halloween? »Happy Luther's Day« sounds much catchier than »We commemorate the day in the year of our Lord 1517, when Martin Luther nailed his 97 theses onto the Castle Church in Wittenberg«, right? Oh, I see now that Halloween is not a holiday in Lower Saxony. Phew, but fortunately, it's Shopping Sunday this weekend here in Hanover. Honi soit, qui mal y pense.
