Painted in the studio from a photo reference taken at La Jolla, CA. These gulls were so at home on the very edge of the cliff, a safe spot from the people walking by I suppose. Painted on gallery wrap canvas, 1 1/2 inch deep. Sides are painted in keeping with the image.
