I started painting in 2001 when I was living in central Oklahoma. I tried oils and acrylics, but I truly love watercolor--how it moves on the paper, how it's simultaneously predictable and unpredictable, and how fast the medium can be.

I moved to Cincinnati, OH a few years ago, and I live in a suburb just outside the official city limits. Cincinnati is amazing--it's urban, but if you travel a few miles you hit rural farmland. There is a lot to see and paint. I'm inspired by the things that I see and what I'm feeling at the time. I typically don't paint particularly realistically--I look and think, and then try and capture the feeling without going back to look again.
