A M Y   K I R K P A T R I C K .   I am an American artist living in coastal southern California. With a BFA degree from Florida State University, I had a successful career as a graphic designer and illustrator in advertising and corporate marketing. I am a full time painter now. My paintings have appeared in multiple Better Homes & Gardens publications as well as other publications. Through licensing, you may find my art in design boutiques, stores such as Pottery Barn, and online market places such as Wayfair and Fine Art America.

I am mostly known for my nature subjects in watercolor, but I also create using a variety of media such as soft pastels and acrylic. I tend to paint realistically and enjoy doing abstracts and painting plein air to loosen up.

Finding the balance between creating and selling is a challenge for most artists, and I am no exception! Shipping costs have risen lately and cost me more than I charge. I will combine shipping but you must ask as I need to issue it as a refund after you've purchased.

NOTE that the watermarks are NOT on the actual paintings. After having walked into Marshall's a few years ago and seeing copies of my paintings selling there without my permission, it about broke my heart. So, now, everything has to have a mark to hopefully prevent that happening again.
