Hi there! In case we haven't met, my name is Chris Warburton Hulme. I am an acrylics and mixed media artist living my best art life on the East Coast of Canada in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia.
I create my Vintage Can Florals using original hand painted collage papers, original hand drawn collage images, as well as public domain printed images. My work is colourful, quirky, sometimes sentimental, and often times cheeky!
I have a passion for women's empowerment with a personal connection to those who have experienced gender based violence. I am an LGBTQ+ ally. I am a mother. I am a sister. I am a daughter. I am an identical twin who is also a Granny to two silly little identical twin grandsons. I am also a fierce believer in the power of joy spreading. All of these things find their way into my work one way or another.
My studio is my dining room table. We never eat at the dining room table anyway.
My favourite colour is pink.
