»Daily Painting = Daily Smiling«
Born in Cologne (Germany) in 1965.
Graduation as graphic designer in 1991.
Architect, designer, creative director for some years.
Self employed freelancer since 1994.
Painting, in those times, was a rare pleasure.
In 2002, I restarted painting just for fun. Mostly, I worked on larger paintings. But for the largest part of the time I was procastinating... buying art materials, looking for inspiration, pushing papers and doing a lot of sketches... Patience is not my strong point ;) And I was disappointed, how long it took to do just one good painting. I joined some smaller group exhibitions and step by step painting became an indispensable part of my life. Eventually I heard of the »Daily Painting Movement« by which I immediately was infected. On Aug 15th, 2011, I started my daily painting project »A Stiller A Day«.
And this really changed my life!
In the last ten years of daily painting I have also grown to become an instructor, book author and director of an art academy through my painting.
I hope you enjoy my daily paintworks!
