‚ÄčArt is her life. When Jana Bouc is not painting or drawing she is thinking about it, or observing the world around her with artist's eyes and great curiosity. She works primarily works in oils and watercolor, with occasional explorations into acrylic, gouache and printmaking.

Her award-winning paintings are in private collections nationally and have been featured in books, such as How to Paint Watercolor Flowers, and The Watercolor Flower Artists' Bible (both Quarto Publishing, London) and her work has also been published in magazines internationally.

She can often be found sketching and painting around the San Francisco Bay Area in cafes, parks, on city streets, or in her light-filled studio--her favorite place in the world.

Always learning and growing as an artist is her passion; she has studied art at California College of Art, other colleges and in private workshops with artists including Rose Frantzen, Peggi Kroll-Roberts, Camille Prezwodek, Randall Sexton, Mark Daniel Nelson, Elio Camacho, and Judy Morris.
