My name is Jean Krueger and I live in Troy, NY, with my husband. I have painted in watercolors, pastels, oils and collage for many years. I like color, lots of it. I like movement in my work. I enjoy the contrast of light with dark within my work and the manipulation of pigment by the natural flow of water or the more controlled direction of brushes or layering of transparent papers. I seek abstraction and suggestion of imagery. I use photos I take with the intention of using them later as the basis for my work.
