Jean has had art as a hobby her entire life. After raising six children she returned to college to earn her BFA and MED degrees. She taught art and art history in community college and college classes as well as two years as a high school photography teacher. She now paints full time and teaches workshops in her studio. She also has an advanced class of working artists who meet with her weekly. Jean loves color and nature and especially loves people and the beauty they possess. She paints portrait commissions as well as creating paintings from children she pays to model for her. ​
