Hi, I'm Meagen and I live in Chattanooga TN. I'm a mom to my two adult children, a wife to my amazing and supportive husband and a dog mom to my three Shih Tzus. 

I was a cosmetologist for many years and I had never painted until 2020. Once I picked up a paintbrush I was hooked! My Grandfather was an amazing artist so I believe I inherited his artistic talents. Being an artist brings me so much peace and calm. I tune out the world as much as I can while I'm at my easel so I can tune into my creative side and be in my therapeutic place. 

I adore animals. I also love nature, gardening, traveling, trying new fun food and enjoying coffee, especially a well made latte! My iPhone is always filled with hundreds of photos because I see inspiration everywhere I go, everyday. Sometimes it's the simple things that many people don't notice that catch my eye. Painting from photos I take has become my favorite content source, especially when it comes to the flowers in my gardens. 

While I enjoy painting many subjects, I am most happy painting florals and animals, especially beloved pets. There's something very satisfying about capturing the pure innocence and vibrant personalities of animals.
