Melinda Parrie is a contemporary expressionist painter who lives and works in Natchitoches, Louisiana. 

Melinda received her BA in Anthropology and MA in Fine Art & Graphic Design from Northwestern State University.  After graduation, Melinda immediately began working full time at NSU as a graphic designer and web designer.  She has worked at NSU in all forms of multimedia, graphic design, web design, web development, and web administration for 17 years.

Throughout the years, she has painted continuously and studied with many prominent local artists.  She has also travelled across the country, painting en plein air and attending numerous workshops.  She has exhibited locally at NSU’s Orville J. Hanchey Gallery and with the Natchitoches Art Guild.
