Sheila Tysdal

Sheila Tysdals painting career has been shaped by her love of growing up in rural  Saskatchewan, Canada. While anything agriculture remains her preferred subject, she finds beauty in all things life brings her. A passion flows out of her as she lays the strokes of paint unto canvas or paper. She strives to bring you "up close and personal" to her subjects, whether it is through the eyes of an animal, or the treads on a tractor tire.

When her family was younger, life was so busy working on the farm and raising 3 children. Her art was was set aside until Folk Art became very popular. She embraced this style of decorative painting and started a company called " Pinecraft Classics". She showcased her work in many venues and taught classes in her home. After 8 years of Folk Art she set it aside and moved to mural painting for a few years.

After retiring from the farm life, she has returned to studio to paint. Challenging herself to learn and improve her watercolor skill she found a new love of painting with coffee. Fascinated with this new medium plus adding her own touch of color, the look gives her coffee paintings an "Old World Charm". She has added this style along with watercolor, acrylic, graphite and colored pencil to her enthusiasm of painting most days.

Sheila's love of realism and attention to detail shows through her present passion and gives a richness and depth to her art.
