Sherri Evans

Sherri Richards Evans was born and raised in a small town in Northern California. As a child, she always enjoyed drawing, especially animals and people. In High School she enrolled in her first drawing class and learned the basics of oil painting. After moving to Long Beach, California, she started taking art classes at night at Long Beach Community College. She studied with very influential instructors such as Dr. Michel Daniel, Dr. Linda King, Dr. Stas Orlovski and Dr. Carol Roemer, all from the fabulous Art Department of LBCC. After 30 years of corporate life, she moved to San Antonio, TX. She began attending oil painting and pastel workshops under the guidance of artists such as Robert Liberace, and Daniel Edmondson, and attended a workshop with Judith Carducci P.S.A. in Southern France. She has attended the Plein Air Convention and Exposition (PACE) in San Diego, Santa Fe, San Francisco and will be attending the 2022 PACE which will be held in Colorado. She has gone on painting adventures with fellow artists to Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine, Southern France and to Napa and Sonoma Valley in California. She has also been fortunate enough to travel to Europe, camera in tow, for some inspirational subjects.
