I'd rather just let the art speak for itself, but I understand that you may want to know a little more about me. I sure do when I find artists I like.
So let me give you a little art background.
I started working on art seriously when I was 19, after getting fired from my band after we opened for the Beach Boys in Washington DC many years ago. To be fair, the rest of the band were way better musicians than me, so that actually was a good decision on their part. I'm still a musician, but I've gotten a lot better, and I work within my limitations, which is a good thing for everyone listening to me.
But it led me to drown my sorrows in art, and it was the best decision ever. Next to marrying my wife, but that's another wonderful story. Since then, I've worked as an Art Director for a Washington DC public relations and advertising firm, ventured into freelance humorous illustration, national syndication (with a very small syndicate, to be honest, but still) as an editorial cartoonist, and writing and drawing my own comic strip. And all along the way I've had numerous group and one man fine art shows.
I just love painting, and I've never been able to settle down to one style or approach. I tend to go for it intensly learning and exploring a new medium, technique or style, then after I feel that I have a pretty good level of expertise I get bored and move on. Hey, I'm having great fun this way! And I'm still busy exploring different approaches, techniques and materials. I did (finally) decide that acrylics are my favorite and best medium.
But that just means I have a lot of exprience to draw on, and you can probably pick up on that as you look through my work of the last few years.
