Tricia Granzier has lived most of her life in coastal New England; in Connecticut, around Boston, and since 1999, on the coast of Maine. Not surprisingly, the coast is a major inspiration for her work. A focus on single subject painting is a prominent characteristic of much of her work. She enjoys bringing to light the beauty, color and detail of everyday life along the coast through this concentration on one, or few, objects. Examples of this are her paintings of a single sea urchin, a pile of beach rocks at the ocean's edge, a sailboat's mast and a single wave. She also can't resist an occasional landscape and the saltwater marsh is among her favorites to paint.

Tricia paints in acrylic and oil these days, though she also has experience in watercolor. She is an accepted member of the state's "Maine Made" program. Her work has been accepted into juried art shows and she has participated in many shows over the years. Tricia has done numerous commissioned pieces and her artwork has been sold throughout the United States.
