After High School, I completed Junior College with an AA degree with a major in art, completed Art Center College of Design, and graduated from Peabody College with a BFA degree in art. I worked my way through college twice, always with a major in art, as I wanted to illustrate Christian books. I worked one year as a Graphic Designer for Gospel Light Publications in Glendale, California. I worked as a Graphic Designer at the Baptist Sunday School Board in Nashville for four years. I taught beginning painting classes to adults in Junior College, at Watkins Institute, and at the Brentwood Library. I now reside in Marietta, Georgia, where I continue to paint in watercolors, oils, and acrylics. All around us are beautiful objects to paint of people, flowers, landscapes, buildings, and animals that our God has so lovingly created. I enjoy trying to capture the beautiful color harmony with interesting compositions, for myself and for others to enjoy. I self-published my book titled, "Christmas In The Bible Belt", with 89 illustrations of 40 antique crosses, 40 orchid designs, 8 portraits, and a cover design.
