I loved the detail in my flower piece, but I wanted to also blend objective art and detailed abstraction, which is how I went about letting this piece come together. I started loose and bright and let the fish appear, and then worked with some detailed sea textures, all while playing with a bunch of bright colors. I did this before I got my fish friends, so I might be doing more fish paintings really soon!
