I was gonna have a tough day with this daily painting even before I started. I used to be great at lemons but this felt like an uphill battle the entire painting. I added the cup because I didn’t want to do a still life painting with just one fruit portrait so I gave him a friend with the cup. I really enjoyed painting that cup, and I'll probably paint it again. Just the right balance of sheen and texture for me. The video turned out pretty nice, so check it out!
