I have become obsessed with women illustrators from the Golden Age of Illustration. I did this mastercopy of "The Goblin Market" by Florence Harrison and had such a blast trying to make it my own. The muted colors were fun to work with, though I tried to add a bit of my own style in the landscape as well. The original was in a portrait orientation, so I made a lot of changes to make it a landscape. I also decided to play around with the creatures surrounding her, turning a few of them into something different. I'm definitely going to continue doing work like this!
