Portrait Deliberate Practice Series 110/250. "THE WARRIOR", 6" x 8", Oil on Board A young player with a very mature mind. He has evolved way beyond his years and has every bit within him to become a legend at Arsenal. He moves with a delicate force and really wants the ball, his distribution comes from an adept footballing brain. It's great to watch how he turns the game into art.This piece was inspired by his performance against Villa. He orchestrated the comeback and well deserved the man of the match award.
I painted this piece with the inside-out technique. But this time because I wanted to be loose and direct, I decided to use only one brush with no details.
Every stroke was constructed with a mind to sculpt his solid features.No solvent, no medium, just pure juicy Winsor & Newton Oil Colour.
