I'm taking an online portrait class this year that will progress weekly through several centuries of art movements and artists. This painting is inspired by the Renaissance painter, Piero della Francesca. I found that I like his neutral gray skin tones, archways and color palette and tried to apply them to my painting, based on a free stock photo of a modern choir woman praying. Also used some copper-shiny paint. This is available, matted, as the full 8 x 10 painting, or matted and cropped as in the other uploaded photo.
