I saw the challenge "about me" and I had done this self-portrait recently and decided to enter. It's about me as an artist. I am experimental. I love working with many medias. I like pushing the envelope but only where it's appropriate. The title "Magic Happens" is what I feel happens when I pick up a brush....to me it's still magic after many years and I love the excitement of creation.
The colored portrait that I am holding is a more realistic me and the black and white patterns of my clothes is made up of some of my paintings reduced and printed in black and white and then collaged on to the painting.
