These poppies are catching some sun as the approaching storm diminishes the light. They will survive however, as we hope to survive these dark days in America. They give us a Glimmer of Hope, as do the young people who are leading the current protests against gun violence and others who are working to return our country to its true greatness. Poppies are just now emerging in our garden, and they give us hope that spring and summer will soon arrive for real here in the northeastern United States.
