This is the fourth in a series of sunsets on Indian Lake near Manistique, Michigan, between Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. All in this series were done using reference photographs shot by Bill Banzhaf. Bill and his wife, Adela Backiel, live in a cabin on Indian Lake, a cabin that Bill's father built in 1928. The Banzhaf family has a long and outstanding history of forest management and land stewardship. Likewise, Adela also had a very distinguished career in natural resources, and together, she and Bill have been a powerful force in forest stewardship and sustainable development in America. Indeed, they are a "power couple." And they are wonderful people! Mary Beth and I have known them for a very long time, and are very happy to count them among our friends. And, oh yes, Bill is a great photographer! This is the fourth in a series of sunsets on Indian Lake near Manistique, Michigan, between Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.
