Recently here on DailyPaintWorks I posted a painting called "Mosaic Vase." This painting is a modification of that one in that the reference vase was the same, but I modified the shape somewhat, and I did it in several shades of blue. The reference vase is one made by mosaic artist Dawn Mendelson of Long Beach, California while she was an Artist-in-Residence at the Olive Stack Gallery in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland. The blues in the vase are various combinations of ultramarine, cobalt, thalo, and cerulean. Some mixes contained a bit of titanium white.
