The painting depicts a bridge on the Amsterdam Canal, and along it are colorful houses. All the buildings in the picture are built in an authentic Amsterdam style with ridges on the roofs, lots of windows, and bright facades.
The houses are very close to each other, and between them are crowded cozy streets through which you can walk and enjoy the beauty of this city. Against the sky one can see the spires of churches and the domes of synagogues, which are also characteristic of Amsterdam architecture.
