City Beat is a vibrant watercolor painting that captures the raw energy and rhythm of urban life. Set against a backdrop of red brick and graffiti-tagged storefronts, the scene pulses with character and movement. The artwork highlights the architecture and street culture of a city corner, where people pass by and stories unfold behind glass doors. The painting depicts a street scene in an urban environment that conveys the atmosphere of an industrial quarter. The building is executed in reddish-brown colors with a brick facade, which gives it a characteristic urban look. On the ground floor there is a shop or club window with the inscription “ONERTHROW CLUB,” in front of which is a white bench. The windows of the upper floor, decorated with a fire escape, add to the architectural rhythm of the composition. Cityscapes as such, fell in love with the third year, when we went to the open air practice. It was a respite and a rest for me after boring performances with draperies, still lifes and bodybuilders in the auditoriums. In nature, the teacher showed us how you can beautifully depict a building with just one pen. After that, I started drawing a lot of graphics with a gel pen.

Then I became fascinated by architecture, the windows were especially beautiful in the historic old beautiful buildings. Also, I liked to depict avenues and streets, city dwellers, cafes, all my life that swirled around everyday life.

My painting watercolor on cotton paper, using mainly palette brush and watercolor paints.  Watercolors give this work a special lightness and airiness. I like paint with watercolors using the ala prima technique, using the effects of splatter, transparency and color saturation.
