One of a series of reflections painted plein air. The rippled shapes on the water make a rhythmic pattern of abstracted colors. The patterns of the reflections remind me of a spectrogram, a mathematical tool for the visual analysis of sound. This was painted outdoors in one sitting, plein air, alla prima.
