One of a series of reflections painted plein air at the local canal at sunset. Here I was interested in th interaction between the rhythm of the reflections and the shore. The patterns of the reflections remind me of a spectrogram, a mathematical tool for the visual analysis of sound.
This was painted outdoors in one sitting, plein air, alla prima.
Oil on wood panel, varnished, unframed.
