Good Harbor Bay is available through Synchronicity Gallery in Glen Arbor, MI. The word "ephemeral" means transitory or quickly fading. Trilliums and other spring ephemerals that grow on the forest floor take advantage of the high levels of sunlight reaching the ground in April and May before the leaf canopy fills in. Once the leaves block the sun above them, the ephemerals leaves and flowers die back, and the plant lives through its root system until the next spring. This painting is very green, just like springtime in the woods. I like how the abstract shapes (little white flowers) direct the eye and give the painting some depth.
