A nice Brit who recently bought one of my paintings said this, "You love the sun." Very succinct and so true. I love the sun. I love to depict sunlight on a landscape. Typically, I push the vibrancy, contrast, and saturation well past what the eye might see in the real world. Still I want the viewer to say, "Oh hey, I've seen that before. For just a second, on a frosty morning, in a grassy field, that's just how the sunlight looked coming through the trees."
