Here’s a more neutral color palette for you. You like? "What about the painting's name?" you ask. Well, resins are secreted by plants to protect themselves in response to injury. The resin protects the plant from insects, herbivores, and pathogens. A clear example of the longevity and durability of resin is the encapsulation of insects in amber. Other examples of resin are frankincense and myrrh. (Bet you didn't know how to spell "myrrh" until just now.) So I named the painting "Resin" because of nature's ability to protect and heal - and (since we are just one little part of nature) our own ability to do the same. This painting is available through Somebody's Gallery in Petoskey, MI. Please contact Julie Stoppel at (231)881-4745 for purchase details. Here’s a more neutral color palette for you. You like?
