The American frigates figured prominently in the War of 1812, often outfighting the British. The 'Constitution', perhaps the most famous, is still preserved in Boston and still commisioned in the US Navy. This is painted in oil on oil canvas paper and matted. The matting is my personal choice, but if the buyer doesn't agree, just throw the mat away (or use it on something else). It's double acid-free mats which I cut myself and always include them, where available, at no extra cost. The painting size is 7-1/4" x 9-1/4" The outside dimension of the mats is 12" x 14" The price of the matted painting is $275.00. Packing and insured shipment is free.
